Here are some of the best restaurants in South Mumbai that are enjoyed by locals and visitors alike.
1. Americano
This restaurant has great food and excellent cocktails. The tall ceilings create a nice roomy atmosphere away from the crowded city action and small lanes of Fort. In my opinion, it’s hard to find good pizza in India, but if you like Neapolitan style, definitely try the pizza here!
They’re open for dinner Wednesday – Sunday and have lunch service on the weekends too.
Best for: Nice group dinner or date night drinks at the bar
Neighborhood: Fort

The menu has small and large plates that are intended for sharing creating a lively and social atmosphere. The innovative dishes served here regularly change based on seasonal ingredients.

3. Burma Burma Restaurant & Tea Room
Delightful Burmese restaurant with an all vegetarian menu. If you are a meat eater, don’t let the vegetarian menu scare you off, everything we ate here was exceptionally delicious and filling. Note that they do not serve alcohol so come for lunch and enjoy their wide range of tea options to sip on.
Best for: Group lunch
Neighborhood: Fort
4. Gustoso
A fine dining Italian spot with a flare. They do authentic Italian with a focus on high quality ingredients, without complicating the cuisine with the usual complexity you find in India. Make sure to try the pizzas and the pastas.
